Upon arriving at Bay Canh Island, enjoy snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters, where vibrant coral reefs and a rich array of marine life await. The island offers one of the best spots for underwater exploration, perfect for both beginners and nature lovers.

While snorkeling, you’ll also hear the story of how El Niño has affected the marine ecosystem. Your guide will explain how rising sea temperatures have led to coral bleaching, disrupted marine biodiversity, and challenged the health of reef systems—giving you a deeper appreciation for the fragile beauty beneath the waves.

  • If conditions are right—particularly during high tide and nesting season—you may be lucky enough to witness a mother sea turtle coming ashore to lay her eggs. This rare and awe-inspiring moment offers a deep connection to the rhythms of nature and the fragile cycle of marine life.

  • One of the most special experiences on the island is the chance to witness a mother sea turtle coming ashore to lay her eggs. If conditions are right, our forest rangers may call you at night to quietly observe this remarkable moment.
  • Please note that all activities follow strict conservation guidelines to ensure the safety and protection of the turtles and their nesting environment. Visitors must remain silent, avoid using lights or flash, and follow all instructions given by the guide.
  • During this experience, you will also gain insight into the real-life conservation efforts of the rangers — such as tagging turtles with numbered markers to monitor their movements and protect them throughout their life cycle.

Release more baby turtles into the ocean

Release Baby Turtles into the Ocean In the early morning, you may have the special opportunity to join a baby sea turtle release, helping the hatchlings make their first journey into the ocean under the soft light of dawn. This experience depends on natural hatching cycles, so if the eggs happened to hatch the day before, you’re in luck — it's a rare and unforgettable chance to witness the very beginning of a sea turtle’s life. All releases are conducted under the supervision of conservation staff to ensure the safety of the turtles and minimize human impact on their natural behavior.

Return to the port

After the turtle release, return to the port, concluding your enriching experience on Bay Canh Island.

Leden
Tento měsíc je vhodný pro suché a příjemné počasí na většině území Vietnamu, s výjimkou severu. Na severu může být poměrně chladno, zejména ráno a večer. Nejlépe se vám bude dařit ve středním Vietnamu, kde je stále sucho a slunečno. Můžete zde odpočívat na plážích Lang Co a Hoi An nebo poznávat krajinu a kulturu. Je to také vhodná doba na cestování před začátkem školních prázdnin, které začínají příští měsíc.

Červenec
Střední Vietnam je stále nejlepším místem pro pobyt v červenci, kdy svítí hodně slunce a málo prší. Ve zbytku Vietnamu se mohou vyskytnout přeháňky, ale nezkazí vám zábavu.

Srpen
Střední Vietnam je stále vhodným místem k návštěvě i v srpnu, i když koncem měsíce může ještě trochu pršet. Ve zbytku Vietnamu může také trochu pršet, ale není to tak hrozné. Mimo sezónu můžete také využít některých slev na letenky a hotely.

září
